Day 3: Cold Shimmer

It started snowing Friday night in the city, and lasted through Saturday.  Craig is running in a Santa Speedo run, which is ridiculous, so I am hoping he doesn't slip and fall.  So far, not too much snow is sticking to the ground, just melting, but accumulating on our balcony.

Noel Tag:

The tag is cut with Sentimentals Cricut cartridge, with sparkly navy cardstock.  The snowflakes are heat embossed.  The right half of the tag is embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.  I make sure to invert the embossing folder so that the dots press into the paper on the sparkly side.  The bottom half of the tag - I put glue (zip dry pen with fine tip) to each swiss dot and then sprinkled with glitter.

I used my SCUT files for the Aster flower - cut from white paper and then light and blue ink covers the petals.  The center is filled with little silver rhinestones.

 Here was my layout:
You can download my Aster SCUT files from Craft Edge - here.

Let is Snow Tag:

The shape is cut from Cricut Cartridge "Sentimentals".  The snowflakes are cut from Cricut Cartridge "Joys of the Season" (both the regular shape and the layer shapes).  The white tag was embossed and then I used silver and pale blue glitter to fill in the shapes.  The snowflakes are layered, using different color inks for each layer.  Each snowflake has a silver rhinestone center.

This was my layout if you want ideas:

Your tags are wonderful!! and your honey running a marathon in a speedo is very funny, just the speedo is funny enough, in the snow, yes, ridiculous but hysterically funny!! Thank you for the mental image and a good laugh!!

  2. Your tags are gorgeous...especially that first one! WOW! (I don't remember if I thanked you for the blog award - but if I didn't - thank you! I've recently accepted that award from someone else, and also posted the eight things about myself, and don't want to bore anyone the second time around, so while I graciously accept the award from you, I also hope you're forgive me for respectfully not re-posting)
